Beggar King: Dynasty ("the game") is made by Mats Persson ("we"). This page explains what data the game collects, why, and what you can do about it. Contact: matspersson0@gmail.com.

What we collect ourselves

Only when you play online. A single-player game is saved on your device and never sent to us.

DataWhy
An anonymous player ID, created automatically the first time you play onlineTo recognize you and keep your dynasty yours
Your game progress in the online world: dynasty and character names, money, jobs, itemsTo run the shared online kingdom
Chat messages you send, including direct messages, the chat groups you make or join (their names and members), and the list of players you blockTo deliver chat, keep your groups, enforce blocks, and look into reports of abuse
Your account record: the player ID, your dynasty's display name, which world and dynasty it plays, when it joined, any invite code it used, and when you were last onlineTo bring you back to your dynasty
Your IP address, while you are connected and in the server's logsTo keep the server running and stop abuse

Chat is not end-to-end encrypted. The game's operator can read recent messages, direct messages included, to deal with abuse. We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos or precise location.

Services we use

Unity Authentication (Unity Technologies) signs you in automatically when you play online. It handles your anonymous player ID, an approximate location derived from your IP address, and crash data. See Unity's privacy policy.

Unity LevelPlay and Unity Ads show the optional rewarded ads, in single-player and online alike. They collect device and advertising data to show and measure ads. The game asks whether you allow tracking. If you allow it, they may use your device's advertising identifier to show more relevant ads, which some US state laws call "sharing" or "selling" personal data. If you say no, ads are not personalized and the identifier is not shared, and the ads still grant the boost. You can change this any time in iPhone Settings, Privacy and Security, Tracking. See Unity's player privacy policy.

Apart from that, we do not sell or share your data.

How long we keep it

Recent chat lines (the last 50 per channel) are held in the server's memory only and are gone when the server restarts. Your progress is kept while the online world runs; when a world is reset, its dynasties go with it. Your account record, chat groups and block list are kept until you ask us to delete them, so they carry over to a new world. Server logs, which can include your IP address, are not deleted on a fixed schedule; ask us and we remove what concerns you.

Legal basis and where data goes

For players in the EU and UK: running the online game, your account, progress and chat is needed to provide the game you asked for (contract). Keeping the server safe and dealing with abuse is our legitimate interest. For personalized ads we follow your answer to the tracking prompt, which you can change in Settings at any time; a fuller consent screen for EU and UK players is planned. Unity, which provides sign-in and ads, may process data in the United States under its own safeguards, described in its privacy policies linked above.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data by emailing us. Before we act, we check the request is really yours, for example by asking you to post a code we send you in the game's chat. We answer within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Children

The game is not directed at children, and ads in it are not set up for children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you think a child under 13 has played online, email us and we will delete their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
